Toronto based musician and actor Slim Twig (sharp, falling-apart guitars reminiscent of NY No Wavers The Contortions/ Teenage Jesus & the Jerks, punctuated by yelping, warble vocals) and drummer Simone Tisshaw-Baril (bringing all the muscle and heat of ‘70s hard-rock drummers like John Bonham and Bill Ward) have been performing as Tropics for almost ten years now, since they were teenagers, becoming local favorites amongst the initiated but have never released a proper 7” until now.
