ANXTV- Piertra 7"

Review:

At long last we have the new EP by long running ANARCHA PUNX ANXTV from ITALY (and beyond!). A truly inspiring project produced by the band along with us at MASS MEDIA RECORDS. A perfect example of how punk bands cannot afford to stand idle and a political in the current era of world wide chaos and upheaval. Cynicism may have dulled the fringe edges of what was once called “ANARCHO PUNK” in its modern incarnation but there are still plenty of bands who are willing to put their ideas out there in a very explicit form such as ANXTV. This is not to discount the music with pulls from classic peace punks as well as buzzsaw Italian hardcore, but the ideas of which ANXTV consist of are just as much an exposition of rage as the blown apart chords and desperate choruses that inhabit this disc. Looking down the unforgiving depths which capitalism and globalism have dredged humanity, its cultures, and the earth we all inhabit ANXTV acknowledges the many modes of resistance. The symbols of ancient societies remind us of simpler times in which the end wasn’t so close. In the hearts of revolutionaries the hope that this disaster is still avoidable lives and grows. Pietra or Stone refers to the symbols of harmony and resistance than cannot be destroyed by Capitalism’s wars, poverty and slavery. (Mass Media Records)
