This Thursday(tomorrow) we will be having a live instore show with ARCTIC FLOWERS, VICIOUS PLEASURES, & MANIA. We’d love to see you there!

Also we will be having a DIY swap meet / show April 15th. So far Cat Party and Cosmonauts are on the bill, and more will be confirmed soon. It will be in a parking lot a few doors down from our shop. The bar next door as well as the taco truck will be having specials all day. Tables are free / donations to set up (you must bring your own table though) We aren’t trying to make big bucks on this, we’re only trying to recoup our costs for renting the space. Anyone is welcome to come, whether it be a label, store, individual, or whatever! This event is not limited to records / music. Zines, artwork, clothing, food, and anything else you could think of is welcome!

LABEL NEWS:

The Night Beats / TRMRS Split 7″ tunes are now streaming on our bandcamp and can be purchased digitally. The link can be found HERE. The physical format in production now and should be done by early May. We’ll keep you updated as that progresses. It will be co-released with Volcom Entertainment.

RR-10.5 La Corde- Unmarked Doors 7″
San Francisco’s one and only La Corde have returned with their third 7″ of shadowy, driving, post-punk. Fresh off their split with Cat Party, “Unmarked Doors” features two brand new songs showcasing heavier, clearer production and more refined songwriting than any of La Corde’s previous releases. First pressing strictly limited to only 300 copies, each with a free digital download coupon and one of three inserts included. Recorded in Winter 2010 by Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer Studies, and mastered by Dan Randall from Mammoth Sound Mastering. Self released by the band, and distributed by Resurrection Records.

RR-010 MDK- The Moonmaiden Flexi Disc
After the accidental suicide deaths of 3 drummers, MDK had the legendary Hiroaki Ishiyama flewn in from the small village of Kagoshimaken, Japan to record for this special release. The Moonmaiden marks MDK’s newest attack to vinyl, after selling out over 700 tapes in their short existance. This is an onslaught of blasphemous dark noisy heavy metal of black death hardcore punk doom fuck. First some background info: MDK was spawned from the infernal command of Satan from the depths of fiery hell, born to kill and desecrate everything in its wake. Only for the rotten fleshed and decaying cadaverous undead. This release contains 3 blasphemous attacks of noisy beer hardcore shit punk in your face metal. The Moonmaiden will slaughter your family and leave you to burn in the gates of hell. This killer was recorded Winter 2011, and mastered by he great MAMMOTH SOUND. It is a sampler flexi disc from MDK’s full length LP, which will follow in winter 2012. Hail Satan kill God for Satan 666. All copies come with a nice glossy cover & full digital download. Distributed by RECORD SHOP BASE in Japan. First Pressing on BLUE VINYL with SILVER LABELS limited to 500 copies. This decaying release will sell out fast, get it now or die trying.

In other news, we will also be distributing the newest La Corde 7″. The band self released it, and they are printing up the covers now. Another update will be posted when it’s officially out, most likely towards the end of this month.

After that comes The Shrine- Bless Off Cassette Tape will be out in February. This will be a 3 way split release along with Eliminator Records, and In For The Kill Records. The MDK- Moon Maiden Flexi is our next release. It will be out in late January / early February. It has already been mastered by the great MAMMOTH SOUND. The plant is closed for the holidays, so we’re just waiting on them to re-open till we can get this monster into production. First pressing is strictly limited to 500 copies and will sell out fast- so get on that as soon as it’s out.

After that comes the NIGHT BEATS / TRMRS split 7″, which goes into production in January, and it will hopefully be available for the Night Beats / TRMRS tour in March. We will be co-releasing this bad boy with VOLCOM ENTERTAINMENT.

Third, we just added WHITE MURDER to our label! They are a killer, in your face garage punk band with dual female vocals and great rythmn sections. Includes members of DEATH HYMN NUMBER 9  & JAIL WEDDINGS. We will be releasing a brand new 7″ from White Murder this spring so stay tuned! They also just self-released their first 7″ in November, and we have a few copies available for purchase in our store HERE.

The Shrills reside in the suburbs of Orange County California. They play creepy, echoey, reverbed out garage punk with an added surf influence. Featuring 3 guitars, and 3 different singers, The Shrills add an angry, psychedellic, and technical twist to the normal garage punk style while still having that nostalgic 50′s and 60′s rock n’ roll feel. This album was recorded at the Distillery in Costa Mesa, CA Summer 2011 on all analog. No computers used whatsoever. All copies come with digital download coupon. First press is on clear purple tapes. LP out in mid 2012 on Resurrection Records with added bonus songs.
